Shipping: Approximately 1 to 5 business days to ship after orders are received – Aluminum Slats are custom made.

Coverage: Each quantity ordered will have 48 aluminum slats. For a 2 inch diamond, each quantity ordered will cover approximately 10 linear feet of fence (depends on how tight your fence is stretched – the average chain link fence with a 2 inch diamond has 41 diamonds for every 10 linear feet of fence).

Design: Manufactured of extruded aluminum with a gloss-baked enamel finish. The baked on enamel will not chip, crack and colors are fade resistant under normal conditions.

Wind load and privacy factor: Approximately 95% (based on wire/diamond used-stretched tension). Diamond sizes larger than 2 inches the privacy will be less.

Specifications: Aluminum Fence Slats are made for a 2" diamond and 9 or 11 gauge wire, will fit larger diamond sizes but the privacy will be less.

Fast & easy installation: This type of privacy slat is installed by laying each picket into the crevice that lies diagonally in chain link fence. After installing a series of 'background' pickets all on the same diagonal in adjacent crevices, a picket is installed counter diagonal by inserting the picket under a chain link weave, over a previously installed 'background' picket and then back under the chain link wire weave. These 'weave' pickets are what hold the others in place. All of the picket ends are held in place by sharply bending the pickets over the end of the last wire diamond at the top. If the slats are long enough, double them and stick the ends under the first available wire. This 'locks' the bottom in.

Calculation for the 1 in 5 pattern

Background Calculation (white slats): Take the length of your fence, divide it by 50, times that by 166, divide that by 50, round that number up to the nearest whole number. This is the quantity you will need for the background color.

Foreground Calculation (black slats): Take the length of your fence, divide it by 50, times that by 83, divide that by 50, round that number up to the nearest whole number. This is the quantity you will need for the foreground color.

Calculation example for the White and Black slats as pictured above: If your fence is 117 feet long and you want the 1 in 5 pattern, this is how to figure out how many quantity of each color is required.

White Slats Required: 117 (fence length) divide by 50 times by 166 divide by 50 = 7.77 (round up to 8 for the quantity)

Black Slats Required: 117 (fence length) divide by 50 times by 83 divide by 50 = 3.88 (round up to 4 for the quantity)
